- learn about rhythym through by creating their own instruments and using them to accompany music - learn about different styles and kinds of music - learn fundamental basics of music (pitch, volume, tempo...) by singing, listening to and playing music |
Music skills are shown to help with pre-math and pre-reading skills. It is excellent for develping active listening and begins to introduce critical thinking. Music is theraputic and evoke many different emotions. Every class will involve a classical music wind down period. |
Every class will begin and end with stretching our bodies and getting in touch with our breath. We learn how to prepare the body for exercise. Each class will also involve trust and bonding games. They will then: |
- learn how to use their bodies to express their emotions - experience both choreographed and improvisational dance with various types of music while using fun props (scarves, shakers, pom poms...) - learn some traditional dance techniques while listening to fun songs |
